This week, the JADA team was on hand to assist with the distribution of Care Packages to vulnerable households in Barbados.

As part of the Government’s COVID-19 Relief Programme, the Barbados Defence Force (BDF) has begun distribution of 60 000 care packages to households and communities across the island. These packages consist of fresh produce, canned and dry goods and personal care items.

Starting Tuesday, 16 February, the team from JADA assisted with transporting these packages to families, particularly those in St Joseph, St John and other rural communities as well as other vulnerable households across the island.

Philip Tempro, CEO of JADA, shares that he is humbled to lend a hand in any way possible. “Every little bit counts, especially in these trying times. It’s very important for us to continue to serve our communities, so we were more than happy to offer our trucks to help with the distribution of care packages.

The BDF has been extremely organised with the distribution efforts and must be commended for the efficiency the exercise was undertaken. It truly is a testament to what we can all achieve when we work together for the greater good.”
