On Sunday, May 26th, Cemix proudly partnered with the Barbados Cancer Society for the second annual Prostate Cancer Walk/Run. Beginning at 3 PM, a vibrant assembly of loved ones, friends, and passionate advocates for the cause gathered to walk, run, and even skate in solidarity in support of prostate cancer research and awareness. 

The event kicked off and concluded at the Garrison Savannah’s Main Building, creating a symbolic loop of support and unity. Nearly 2,000 enthusiastic participants showed up, each walking for their dad, brother, son, friend, and the ongoing battle against prostate cancer. 

This overwhelming turnout highlighted the community’s steadfast commitment to raising awareness and funds for this crucial cause, which was greatly appreciated.
